More POW for WC

For the third time this season, the No. 2 Weatherford College volleyball team has received two Player of the Week honors from the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference following a pair of sweeps against Vernon College and Temple College.

The NTJCAC named Nehir Han the Setter of the Week, while Mirabel Onyegwu earned Defensive Player of the Week honors.

This marks the first time WC has earned Player of the Week recognition for a single athlete across two different categories this season. Onyegwu has now earned both offensive and defensive honors this season, while Han has claimed both setter and defensive accolades.

Onyegwu, a native of Abuja, Nigeria, recorded 12 kills on 26 attacks across six sets. She led the Coyotes with 21 digs, averaging 3.5 per set.
Han, a native of Istanbul, Turkey, tallied 35 assists and 11 digs in six sets. She averaged nearly six assists and two digs per set while adding 11 aces.
Han is the second WC player to receive back-to-back weekly awards this season, joining Beline Thibaut, who accomplished the feat earlier this month.
