Michael Roy Barkey, age 77, of Aledo, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in Coleman County. He was born in Temple, Texas, October 12th, 1948, to Roy and LaVerne Barkey, retired Army veteran. He lived all over between Texas and Germany. He left us unexpectedly doing what he loved on the deer hunt. Michael is survived by his children, Charles Barkey (Heather); Lina Barkey; Christopher Barkey (Kristina); and Anthony Barkey (Caitlin) of Golden, Colorado; seven grandchildren; his sister Carolyn Horne (Wayne) of St Augustin, FL; brother Norman Barkey (Penny) of Killeen, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Interment will be at a later date in Utah with his children.
