    Aledo City Council proposed the 2026-2027 budget and the property tax rate to support it during the Aug. 6 meeting. Council scheduled a public hearing for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, to allow for citizen input. During the meeting that follows, council could make both official. The Parker County Appraisal District certified the City of Aledo’s tax roll in July at $1,057,685. That number creates a “No New Revenue” tax rate of $0.3497-3. The NNR rate is the rate that would bring in the same amount of tax dollars to the city as the last fiscal year. The council opted to set the rate at $0.352415 —about .83% lower than last year’s rate — which will bring in an additional $500,000 in revenue.
