Intelligence and common sense

Posted

My Dear Willow Park Neighbors:

Early warm weather has us out and about. Cruise by our city parks and you’ll see they’re brimming with kids and families celebrating a break from the ice storms of only weeks ago.

But here’s a chilly thought: there’s a new trio of council candidates who desperately want your vote. But if they’d somehow already been in power, none of those warm, enjoyable family park scenes would exist.

Because this new wannabe trio – by their own admission – would never have voted for those important parks improvements.

“Unnecessary. Unneeded. Too costly.”

This gang is not for moving Willow Park ahead. If they somehow get in, they’ll do anything, everything to stop progress. They’ll stall, sidetrack, and submarine improvements – structures, streets, and quality of life – yet they’ll somehow cost us more in in money and taxes! And they’ll most certainly eliminate any orderly, sensible way to move our City ahead.

Want proof? Their subterfuge and influence managed to sidetrack long-planned, already approved, and sorely needed Squaw Creek road repairs and water lines. That’s not only costing us money, it’s wasting ONE MILLION GALLONS of water EVERY YEAR from broken, leaking water pipes! Anybody who’s attempted to drive on Squaw Creek knows the only ones benefiting from not fixing those so-called streets are the car suspension repair shops and tire companies.

This do-nothing group’s leader has created costly contentious chaos in every new town she’s moved to.

Just ask Mineral Wells about her $200k water lawsuit debacle, plus her squabbles with Aledo, Godley, et al. Then there’s her recent controversial contested petition where she misled voters and strong-armed an inexperienced new mayor in questionable fashion.

Willow Park doesn’t need this controversy and chaos.

We need sensible leadership from experienced leaders.

We need to support our council members guiding us with integrity, intelligence, and common sense:

NATE CRUMMEL

SCOTT SMITH

BUDDY WRIGHT

Please reach out to all your Willow Park neighbors to re-elect these three critical leaders to our City Council.
