Parker County Commissioners Court appointed Bryan Grimes as county manager Tuesday, Sept. 2, according to a press release.
Grimes, who previously served as the county's director of Strategic Projects, steps into the executive role to oversee administrative, operational, and strategic initiatives across non-elected departments as directed by the court.
As county manager, Grimes will serve as the principal advisor to the county judge and Commissioners Court. He will manage organizational performance, lead high-priority capital and infrastructure initiatives, and evaluate policy and economic issues to optimize public service delivery throughout Parker County.
"Bryan brings a deep understanding of county operations, long-range planning, and fiscal strategy to this office," Parker County Judge Pat Deen said. "Over his tenure as director of Strategic Projects he has consistently demonstrated the diplomatic leadership, statutory knowledge, and analytical problem-solving necessary to execute the court's priorities. As Parker County continues to experience significant growth, having Bryan step into the county manager role ensures our management structure remains highly efficient, proactive, and aligned with the best interests of our taxpayers."
The administrative role was designed to streamline interdepartmental operations, strengthen long-term fiscal planning, and manage major county-wide initiatives.
“I am proud to welcome Bryan Grimes to his new role as county manager,” Commissioner Larry Walden said. “His nearly 20 years of experience as city manager make him uniquely qualified to manage the growth of Parker County, one of the fastest growing counties in Texas.
Grimes’ appointment is effective immediately.
“I am honored by the trust and confidence Judge Deen, and the Commissioners Court have placed in me," Grimes said. "I look forward to continuing our work alongside our dedicated county personnel to strengthen our infrastructure, protect taxpayer resources, and serve the citizens of Parker County with transparency and operational excellence."
Numerous attempts to contact Deen with additional questions were unsuccessful.
