BASEBALL

Aledo scrimmage schedule

The regular season begins by hosting the Jag Metals Classic Feb. 19-21.

WC No. 7 in nation

The Weatherford College Coyotes will enter the 2026 season ranked No. 7 in the National Junior College Athletic Association preseason rankings. They are coming off a 48-win season and are seeking a fourth straight conference championship.

The Coyotes will open the season on Jan. 30 at home against reigning national champions Salt Lake and No. 2 Blinn. Games start at 2 p.m.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Seventh grade: A Team won 41-19, B Team won 26-15, C Team won 15-8.

GIRLS SOCCER

Lady Roos sweep Crowley

JVB won 5-0. Goals by Shirleyn Fonseca, Emberlynn Chacon (assisted by Analia Barcenas), Genesis Vargas (assisted by Lilian Chacon), Maitland Aylon off of a corner kick, Chacon (assisted by Barcenas). Players of the Game, Aylon and Vargas for first goals ever.

RODEO

WC teams to compete at FWSSR

The Coyotes are headed to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo for the first time in program history. Catch the team in action at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum from Feb. 2-4 as they chase points for the College National Finals.

Best part? Admission is free with a grounds pass.
